1/21
First off thank you for joining LVL Up. This is the first major development update, one of many more to come. The idea of creating a vendor management platform from scratch started about one year ago. Although there is so much room for improvement and new features, making this from nothing has been the most rewarding project I've worked on in my career. Your support means the world to me and the feedback you've given helps me determine how to best improve the experience. Here is what's new:
Onboarding flow - complete rebuild: This includes ability to batch add multiple vendors at once. This was a commonly requested item. Each one gets added as a draft and the average new user adds 17 new vendors as opposed to one before.
Get Started - post onboarding quests: Created 5 unique post onboarding stages with milestones that help new users get the most out of the platform on the foundation actions. Even includes celebratory confetti when stages are complete. This was a large upgrade. and includes guides for vendor configs, creating sandbox collections, reviewing vendors, inviting teammates, and referring dealerships to LVL Up.
My Vendors - delete deal: Ability to delete versus cancel a deal. Common use case was for vendors added in error.
My Vendors - add vendor form: two main changes. Fixed bug impacting groups, where their store would disappear. If user has only 1 store, it defaults to that store, which removes the annoying click and confusion.
Search Vendors - number of results: This page is the most taxing query on the platform by a large margin. I reduced the maximum default to 100 which should reduce query time by roughly 67%.
Search Vendors - add vendor product: Added the ability in the right dots to quickly add a vendor.
General UI - Close Popup Menus: Added ability to close all pop ups simply by clicking anywhere off the form. No longer have to find the close or "X" button.
General UI - Side Nav Vertical Size: greatly reduced the padding and gaps to prevent overflow for smaller monitors.
What's in the works:
Uploading contracts, internal notes, key vendor personnel. Very popular request and one I hope to have some good news on next week.
Deal Tagging system. This will allow users to tag specific products with their own custom tags. So if you want to organize vendors into your own categories unique to your org this will make that really simple.
Vendor side of the application. I have been meeting with the vendors over the past 2 weeks to establish the features for their admin login. This will allow them to update their company and product pages, setup demo delivery rules and see and respond to reviews.
